Werner Zullig from Ticino Swiss-Italian Restaurant has teamed up with Swiss Chef Mario Thom and Manager Mark Wight to create a Canadian theme fine dining alternative.
Enter through the striking hotel lobby with alpine wood decor and an impressive fireplace. At the cozy lounge Canadian beers and specialty spirits such as single malt rye whiskies are served from the log-beamed bar. The dining room displays a comfortable ambiance of rustic elegance with pine wood furniture and white linen tablecloths. It overlooks a tree-studded park and Mount Norquay. Paintings of mountain scenery created by local artists grace the 75 seat room. The Pines offers a unique dining experience. Canadian culinary delights include Atlantic lobster, British Columbia salmon, duck and farmed deer, and famous Alberta beef, ostrich and lamb. Swiss Chef Mario Thom takes pride presenting Canadian ingredients in a creative contemporary fashion. Select Canadian wines and spirits from around the world please guests from near and far.
